Here's what I made for my Kubota BX2230. The curved end is a shaft collar that I cut up who's ID was the same of the OD of the cylinder's pin boss, and slotted a 1" flat washer for the other end. Didn't have round tube, so I cut one side out of some 1 1/2" square 11ga tube I had.
Here is my version made out of some salvaged aluminum 2x4's.
Raise loader, apply safety block, turn off engine, slowly lower the loader boom.
I had already bought a pair of shaft collars like my friend BravoXray above when I found the aluminum and then I changed directions.
I used a 2" hole saw in the Bridgeport mill to make the semicircular cutouts to fit around the rod end trunnion and cut the opening lengthwise on the table saw...yes, you can cut aluminum on a table saw with a triple chip grind tooth pattern blade.
