Hello everyone,
I thought I would share with you'll my adventure with the erratic behavior of my loader.
Originally I thought that the erratic operation was due to low hydraulic fluid, I try to look into the manual and found very little info on how to check nor put in the hydraulic fluid, thus I added some in the orange cap, not really knowing what I was doing. Then panic set in and I found Tractorbynet.
Thanks to everyone that answered my quest, I did not start the tractor and called the dealer and insisted to talk with the mechanic, found the location of the gauge and drained the excess fluid I had put in.
After eliminating the hydraulic fluid mishaps (adding too much) I was back with the erratic operation on my front loader. I just got my tractor and the first few time I used the loader it went fine. After removing the loader a few times to mow the lawn, I started having erratic operation lifting the loader.
I only realized last weekend that after raising the mower and locking it at the top, sometimes I would leave the leaver activating the lawn mower up and down, at the highest position, this seems to create the problem with the loader operating erratically. I remove the loader and put it back on a few times, making sure the leaver was at the lowest position and it works fine now.
I don't have a clue why the mower leaver would prevent the loader to function properly but, it did, if anyone knows why it would do that, I would appreciate the explanation.
Hopefully this can help someone,
Al
