i was just wondering if anybody has made their own version of a quick attach for their loader, i am looking for some ideas, preferably on smaller tractors, pics would help, thank you
I wanted a quick attach for a uni-hoe (micro-hoe, bucket curl only) I was building for my small skidkoader (Case 1816). I didn't want to modify the original loader bucket. I found a plan on machine builders network and built it to fit my loader. I bought a service manual for the Case last week and it turns out that Case made a "Tool-Tach" and from the drawings it looks a lot like what I built. It isn't exactly a quick attach, more like a half fast attach, but it should be good enough for use around the house.
It was hard to keep the holes lined up when welding.
I tacked all four plates (3/8" thick) together, then drilled all holes. I used a vertical bandsaw to cut from the edge of the plates to the hole for the slot. then I ground the tack welds off with a cutoff wheel and dressed the ends with a flap disk on a 4 1/2" angle grinder.
I was checking the fit of the QA yesterday and found a clearance problem. The lower bucket pin hits the bottom corner of the loader arm when dumping. I only moved the bucket forward two inches with the QA so there is only 1 1/8" between the pins (7/8" pins).
I may be able to grind the lower corners of the loader arms but I want to study it a little to make sure I don't weaken it.
