Are "off-brand" loaders just as good as the tractor manufacturer loaders? I've seen a lot of tractor ads with Great Bend or Bush-Hog loaders on whatever unit was being shown. One quote on a TC30 I got recently was with such a loader (can't remember which kind, though). The only spec I've seen on such a loader was of a Great Bend, and its lift capacity was 100 lb. less than the New Holland 7308. Also, it seems to me that off-brand loaders might be harder to attach/detatch than the tractor's matching loader.

Any insight/experience would be appreciated.

I have a Woods 1012 loader on my NH TC33D. I've been very happy with it. Larger rollback angle than the NH 7308 loader lets me really get a heaping bucket. Larger dump angle is great for getting the clay-based soils on some of my property to dump out. Larger weight capacity is also a plus, but I don't think I absolutely needed that (plus I don't want to overstress the front axle).

The fit is great. I've only taken it off once in several years of ownership, but it was no problem. I know several others here on TBN have the Woods 1012 on their TC33s and are happy with them.
