Loader quick attach adapter for 2415 - is it worth it

Hi,
I'm looking at buying a 2415 with loader, and I'm not sure if I should get the quick attach adapter for the loader. The tractor will be used for mowing, and for general ladscaping duties. . .

What are you thoughts?

The quick tach on the mahindra 2415 is brand specific..what I mean is the only thing that works on it is the mahindra attachments.
And the only attachment that I am aware that they have is a set of pallet forks.

My main reason for it would be to take off the loader (or bucket portion anyways while mowing. Is it tough to take off the loader?

The ML105 loader on the 2415 is a quick detach loader, just drop the whole loader. When you get used to the detaching operation you will do it in just a couple of minutes. The q/tach adapter just makes the bucket removable from the loader, might as well get the whole loader out of the way.

I just purchased a 3215 with Quick Attach (QA) loader. It takes more like 30 seconds to attach/detach the bucket. This thing is truly a work of genius (compared to the buckets I'm used to wrangling with).

From an operations standpoint, why would you want to brushhog without the loader attached? It provides a nice counterbalance. Unless you're planning on mowing on level land and/or turf I'm not sure I would disconnect the bucket.

When I bought my 7520, I chose a used one with a "pin style" quick attach over the new one with the skid loader type quick attach. I got forks and a bucket with the used one.

I decided to buy a grapple bucket but adapting to the Mahindra quick attach soon got complicated so I traded up to the new tractor.

With the new one, I got forks made of flatsteel like the normal forklift style. The Mahindra forks were made of ~2" boxed steel, useable but limited.

The skid loader type quick attach is "the nuts".

I happened to stop by the dealer yesterday and while there, he showed me a quick attach hydraulic auger attachment made by the same outfit that manufactured my grapple bucket. I hate it when he does that to me.

In my opinion it's worth the extra $500 or so just to have the ability to switch to pallet forks. Even if there is nothing else you can use with it I'd do it anyway. You might also look into have a skid steer quick attach put on your loader frame. Then you can use lots of stuff on your loader.

Exactly the point I was trying to make. The skid loader attachment list of available options is only limited by your wants/needs and your budget.

For me, a loader is great to have on when you are mowing the unknown, but after you have done it once then it is just that much more that is bouncing and rattling around. Much nicer when it is off in my opinion. Oh, I put front weights on when the loader is off.
