Loader stress cracks roll call

CK20HST purchased 2004 - 170 hrs. Cracks at 4 corner bolt holes varying in size from 2-3 mm's to all the way to the panel opening. All cracks radiating to the access opening with one cracked both directions.

CK30HST - new in April 05 - 146 hours with probably 130 hours of hard loader use. Just took the cover off tonight............ has the gussets and cracks at all four corners where the gusset ends. I have pictures, but they are too big. Have to wait for my daughter to change the size. These cracks have been there for a while and I must admit, it is no surprise after following the discussion and knowing how hard I have used this thing, but that's what it's for. I had some time to kill today before some friends showed up for a barbecue so I pulled the cover off.

It would be nice to know if those having cracks do one or
more of the following:

> run a tooth bar and use it to rip the ground
> pull out stumps with the corner of the bucket, usually using
the curl function
> lift extremely heavy loads with hooks welded to either end
of the bucket. This usually lifts the rear wheels.

I am not saying the loader should not handle this kind of use,
but it would be nice to know if there is a correlation.

Neither of the CK30s I bought in 5-05 are used this way and
neither has cracks at 45 and 212 hours. Both ldrs are out of
warranty and I may add some of my own reinforcement later,
after I evaluate what Kioti does.

I was going to buy a CK20 this week. Maybe I wait on that...

I use mine for brush clearing so do many of the tasks you outlined. No doubt using the FEL to haul manure would be less stressful and less likely to put torque stresses on the loader.

No tooth bar, no welded hooks, mostly brush clearing and moving stones/dirt
