Loader stress cracks roll call

No hooks or toothbar. I have really carried some hvy weight and torqued the loader digging into some mounds of wet clay. So much so as to to lift the rear end totally or not hitting the mound square and flexing the loader frame so it lifts one rear tire. I know I have really stressed the loader frame repeatedly with some of the stuff I have dug into and lifted. My cracks are only a couple of mm's and I am not to concerned about them at this time considering I have done a lot of loader work around the new house moving some rather large piles of excess burden from the basement dig. It's nothing but clay and rocks or boulders I should say.

Got a nice letter from Kioti about this yesterday. They said their engineers are testing different fixes and that they will be addressing this issue when testing is complete.
I have not pulled my plates to look but no cracks visible without taking the 6 nuts off. I will check it soon though but lots of time left on the warranty.

Does the warranty transfer from the original purchaser? I thought yours was used CBB?

Yes they do transfer warranty now.... They started that a couple of years ago...

I have toothbar but, it was cracked at all four corners before it was put on. I have welded on hooks but have never lifted anything of great weight. I have not reported to my dealer as the warranty was up before I found the cracking. I will be watching with interest for the proper fix. If Kioti informs all FEL owners with the cracking problem I will be happy, if they don't then I'll still be happy as its not the end of the world to me. By the way, cracks at all four corners on a KL120 loader, bought in September 2004.

Warranty or not, I would inform your dealer of the cracks. Hard to say what Kioti will do for out of warranty folks but they certainly won't seek you out if they don't know about your cracks.

I have cracks, a toothbar, but no hooks.

CBB,

I'm interested in the letter you got from Kioti. As you are the second owner of your tractor and did not buy it through a dealer, I wouldn't imagine Kioti had your contact information. Did you contact them first about the loader cracking issue? I did not think you had checked your loader yet.

Pretty quick of Kioti to have contacted CBB within hours of issuing their first fax to dealers on the subject. Anyone else heard from Kioti directly?

I bought the CK20 on eBay with 18 hours. There is a post about the adventure w/pics.
In HighBeams post about the loaders, I copied a letter I sent several weeks ago. The letter from Kioti was in reference to that. You will find that post about 2-4 pages in of HighBeams post. I printed the forum notes and sent it directly to Kioti as stated in the post and they responded.
The person who sent me the letter also reminded me to contact the nearest dealer to register my information as they did not have it on hand.

As much as was hoping to avoid putting my Ck25hst on the list, alas, after 82 hrs. it has delevoped the much dreaded "crack-itis" as well. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Letters to Kioti

We should write letters to Kioti, loaders cracked or not.
All owners of KL120/KL130 loaders. I think this is the only way we all will get the repair.
Thanks
