Update...both recommended valves were not available JJ. so I went ahead and mounted the larger control valve . spoke with the vice president of surplus center and he told me that Valve would probably work on a closed Center system . so far so good still have to bleed more air out of the system and do some welding on the brackets I fabricated . hope to finish it up and test it out next week ;thanks to all who chimed in it meant a lot .

Which valve did you end up with, and did you order the closed center plug?

It was a 25gpm valve and a I ordered a closed center plug for it.

Just a note of gratitude to JJ, Tx Jim, and all others for your guidance. It has been two long years and several thousand dollars since I first brought home the caseIH 585 with bad hydraulics. That tractor not sits in the back forty with a bushhog. The loader happily resides on my JD 2020. I cannot begin to express the joy I felt carrying two round bales across the pasture yesterday...thanks a million guys.
