Never had a loader at home growing up, pop had a 8n, Farmall M and by 1986 a new Massey Ferguson 240 , I got a new Kioti DK 40SE HST, so not really sure about the nature of a lift the tractor has almost 10 hours on it was using the bucket 4N1 as a table working on replacing my T-111 siding and after an hour or two the bucket tilt drops down Is this normal ? Dealer (mechanic) states yes, I'm thinking should not!!!

It is normal. Especially, given the 4-n1 bucket is much heavier than the stock GP bucket.

Yep normal. I built a man lift for my FEL and after an hr or so in one place, just start the tractor and level it again.

Ok, I'll see how things go with loader this summer, oil will get hot with use and possible thin in our N.C. Heat.
Thanks

Use the lock lever on the bottom of the joystick. It pushes in slightly and then the loader cannot drop, or drop if the stick is bumped by accident. I can't say if it will hold the exact position over hours of time, but it definitely works in the short run.

I dont know about kioti but on my Kubota the FEL lock lever is a mechanical stop for preventing the movement of the lever mine will not prevent leakage around the valve or seals.

The loader on my CK30 will drop from mid height to on the ground in about 6 hours. My neighbor has a 20+ year old Case TLB, he often leaves the bucket mid height and it stays there for weeks at a time between uses, does not drop at all. But his 1 year old John Deere tractor will drop it's bucket about 1" per hour.

Will keep an eye on the loader this summer me and pop have got a lot of dirt to move around the old farm, no need for me to be faultfinding just because I've never used a loader before. sure the loader mechanism will be ok, things we don't understand tend to be somewhat cumbersome. So much rain and wet ready for summer and some dry dirt to move in pops new 10,000 capacity dump trailer.
