I just went out and tried again... this time I just droped the bucket into the float position and the pins easy turned by hand... sounds like yours are going to need a little TLC, and a die grinder....

I tried the same thing over the weekend with the float position. I actually had to put some down pressure on the jack stands to get the pins to move with a hammer. Then they only moved in a circle by hitting on the end of them. I'm going to drive them out with a punch and hammer. Hopefully I won't hit the hood. Not much room to get on the end of the pins with a punch.

Do you have any small pieces of pipe laying around that you could put over the end of the pin to give you more leverage? Or maybe even the closed end of a wrench.

Good luck, RedDog

Whoa, that sounds scary /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif. I think I'd try maybe some kind of a ball joint fork or puller from the outside first. I haven't dropped my loader yet so I'm waiting to hear how you make out.

I had the same problem on my CK20 removing the loader after I got it. I took notice right away that the pins were beat (and I mean beat into the holes). When I took it back to get the backhoe put on I told them if the loader didn't remove easily that I wanted a refund. It must have worked as the pins come right out with just a twist once you have the pressure of them. I found out later that the guy that put my tractor together at the dealer was let go the week I got my tractor. I think a lot of these problems are due to the fact that things aren't lined up as good as they could be and some are probably just not quite perfect as they should be with respect to holes and pins. This goes for all brands. I had a NH TC24DA at my place for test run when I was looking for a tractor that didn't have any of the four bolts in the lower part of the bracket that held the loader on. I noticed this when I was cleaning the tractor before returning it to the same dealer ( it also explained why the loader was flexing so much while I was using it). Needless to say they were quite embarassed to find something like this was overlooked.

Well, after about an hour of beating a 2x4 with a hammer I finally got the pins out. No grease at all on the pins or loader bracket holes. I actually split the 2x4. That is how hard the pins were. I took the side panels off so I could get a better swing on the 2x4. Now I need 2 new pins. They are not broke, just beat up on the ends. Sandpaper or file and plenty of grease. Also need some touch up paint /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Orange and gray. You guessed it, I missed a few times. At least it is off. It will not come off that hard next time. I'm doing my service this weekend and decided it would be much easier with the loader off. Plus she really needs a bath. Maybe even a wax job.

Were you unable to get a pry bar on the lip of that pin? You can usually get them out this way pretty easy.

I finally did. Problem was the pin was in tight against the frame. I had to knock the pins out some. Actually the pry bar did not move the pins. I had to knock the pins until they were flush on the inside and then take a punch and hit the edge of the pins some more. Could not get a good straight on shot of the pins because of the fuel tank. Once the pins got over halfway in, then I could turn them by hand and work them out. They wont be hard the next time, I guarantee it. I guess I should of checked it at the lot before I took delivery. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Your loader must have been put on and left out in the rain for a while at the dealer. Even worse, no grease. Mine was a new install when I bought it and the dealer greased the pins. I tiny bit of down pressure and my pins are just about ready to fall out. I had my 11 year old daughter pull them out for me. I hope yours will be that easy when you get the holes cleaned out and greased.

The loader actually came already installed. It sat at the dealer for about a week. It was the very first one he got in. From what I understand the first few DK45S's came already installed with loaders from the factory. A little grease will go along ways.
