Loadstar Tires - Warranty

   / Loadstar Tires - Warranty #21
How in the world are you guys doing this? I have a F-250 and a F-350 and never see more than 45,000 miles. My factory tires on the F-350 did no make it 35,000 miles as did my neighbors 3500 Chevy. These are all diesels that do towing about 2/3 of the time. We rotate our tires every other oil change.

NO trailer tires made in America. That's the word I got.

I've had LoadStars on my two utility trailers (bias ply) and have had no issues. Never had a blowout, seperation, or other issue. I have no earthly clue how many miles on each.

Had the 5' x 10' 3,500# trailer for 5 or so years...had it loaded to capacity several times, including my BX tractor (sans backhoe) on a 5+ hour trip to North Carolina.

My current 8' x 20' 10k# trailer is 2 years old has at least a couple thousand miles on it with no issues. D rated LoadStars.

My travel trailer has "whatever" brand chinese tires on it...radials. One 400 mile trip with no issues...have at least 2 more trips slated for this season, them I'm chocking it up for the winter. Heard that's better for the tires.

Along Chris' point: My Expedition has 40,000 miles on the current set of tires. Of the last 20,000 miles, probably 5,000 of those have been towing a trailer. I rotate them if they start wearing funny, but the're getting close to the end. How do you guys get 100k miles out of a set of tires? And given the fact that you're supposed to replace your tires ever 4 or 5 years regardless of mileage, how many miles go on the things? WOW is all I have to say.

I got 100K out of the original Firestone Steeltex tires on my F250. Probably could have gotten another 10K out of them but winter was approaching. They quit making them  so I put a set of Yokohama Geolanders on. I've got 30K on them and they look like they will be good for another 50 to 60K.

That is impressive. I canned those tires on my F-250 during the first hunting season. They are horrible on anything but pavement.

I'm with you. There is no way in heck I can get 90,000 or anywhere close. I am luckey to get 35-40,000. Those guys must never leave the interstate. I do 30 miles of dirt every time I go to town. And the wife pulls horses trailers at least 300 miles a week. No way to get that kind of useage.

I am amazed!!! The most I have ever gotten out of my two Dodges is 20k. Most sets only lasted 12-15k. Trust me in over 200k on one truck I have tried every manufacturer and tread design. The results have been the same.

As for my trailer, I have had good luck with Denman tires. I think load range G or H. Come to think of it I havn't had any trouble with Carlisle either.

The Transforce HT and AT tires are the replacement tires for the Steeltex HT and AT tires. Steeltex HTs lasted about the same as the Transforce HTs so far. As Truck Trends pointed out back in 2001, a Chevy 3500 DRW really needs to be 4-wheel drive to absorb all the torque that an 8.1L/Allison/locking 4.10 gears setup can put on the pavement. And then you can smoke 6 tires instead. I hear tire squeal even with it loaded and the loaded trailer in tow. Not good for tire life.

Glad to hear that. Just put a set of Denmens on my car haul trailer. They were out of my normal Green Ball Tow Masters and he said the Denmens have been every bit as good. I refuse to hitch up to anything with Carlisle Tires anymore.

I know what you mean. I can't keep back tires on my 3500 HD, either. :D
