NO trailer tires made in America. That's the word I got.
I've had LoadStars on my two utility trailers (bias ply) and have had no issues. Never had a blowout, seperation, or other issue. I have no earthly clue how many miles on each.
Had the 5' x 10' 3,500# trailer for 5 or so years...had it loaded to capacity several times, including my BX tractor (sans backhoe) on a 5+ hour trip to North Carolina.
My current 8' x 20' 10k# trailer is 2 years old has at least a couple thousand miles on it with no issues. D rated LoadStars.
My travel trailer has "whatever" brand chinese tires on it...radials. One 400 mile trip with no issues...have at least 2 more trips slated for this season, them I'm chocking it up for the winter. Heard that's better for the tires.
Along Chris' point: My Expedition has 40,000 miles on the current set of tires. Of the last 20,000 miles, probably 5,000 of those have been towing a trailer. I rotate them if they start wearing funny, but the're getting close to the end. How do you guys get 100k miles out of a set of tires? And given the fact that you're supposed to replace your tires ever 4 or 5 years regardless of mileage, how many miles go on the things? WOW is all I have to say.
