Do we assume, from what you said "bussiness that I am great friends with. (Very good bussiness relationship)." that because of your friendship with the people in this business, you can more easily make money??? If this is so, I'd recommend, be careful how you handle this. Good relationships in business are worth more ? than a trailer?? of course only you know if they are worth it to you.. is the trailer worth more than your relationship with them?

Some people just really dont understand that items do have a maximum weight they can carry.. When i worked for a rental and leasing company we rented a 14' Cube van on a F350 cut-away chassis to a soft drink company.. They called the shop complaining that the transmission was slipping and the truck wouldnt move..

Our shop manager drove over there and found that they had loaded the truck so heavy that the body cross members were actually digging INTO the tires, which was really what was keeping it from moving.. They were clueless of the weight they put on it.

Just like the old saying " I cant be overdrawn, I still have checks left" - This one goes.. "I cant be over loaded, I still have room left!"

Good luck getting your trailer back corrected.

I loaned a 7,000lb car hauler. I went to get it the next day. The guy in back said one of the guys thought the wheels bowing in and out must be some new kind of suspension. My eyes got wide. I asked how much weight they put on it. He said 5 - pallets. So, he and I went and looked up how much the pallets weighed. (I was surprised that he didn't know) 1300lbs each.
Well, there's 6,500 lbs being moved on a trailer with a maximum net load capability of probably 4,700 lbs if a full steel deck... maybe 5,000 if a wood deck?

I don't think I would want to haul around a nifty CK30 w/FEL & BH on a damaged & repaired 7K car hauler. I'd get it fixed as well as possible and then "trade up" to a 10K equipment hauler. Or maybe keep the 7K around strictly for cars (as the name implies) and for "loaning out" to really good friends!

Then I would never loan out the new 10K ever again! :D

Thats what I was thinking as well, that a 7K car hauler was under rated for a CK30. I was looking for a trailer for my L2800 HST with loader and bush hog at one point and when I realized that I'd need to go to a 10K trailer to handle the weight I decided I didn't need to trailer it that much :)

You made me go adding weight again just to be sure. I think I messed up. I don't think I originally added the front end loader weight when I bought the trailer.
It's a steel deck.

ck30hst
Weight w/ Ag Tires w/ ROPS 3055 lbs. (1386kg)

kb2376
Shipping Weight (Less Bucket) 855 lb

front end loader
770lbs

24" bucket
??? guessing 300lbs

This is right at 5000lbs. Might it be that I was about to overload my own trailer? How ironic..
I'll have to find out what the trailer weighs... But I'm close.

Jeez... Didn't I happen to mention I bought a 2005 crewcab f-150 with all this in mind??

The bright side is, I may never haul the tractor. The down side is, I have to lose an attachment if I do.. Need to dump at least 500lbs or so.... Maybe just remove the BH bucket.. Close enough... hmmm

I hate to say this but it looks like it's time to upgrade to a 10 K trailer and maybe a little longer
I have a 25' 2" with 14 K capacity and I'm sure it will shrink when I put stuff on it

I'm guessing you were legal (or at least awfully close) with the 7K car trailer. Check the exact weight of the trailer itself to confirm your net load capability. My point was that a steel-decked car trailer is not the best way to move around a very nice and expensive compact tractor. I just think a 10K equipment trailer would be a lot more appropriate for a fully decked out CK30. In my case, I wish I'd have bought a 12K equipment trailer for my Mahindra 4110 w/FEL+BH instead of my 10K. Having some margin there is very cool.

there is a 12,000 lb bumper pull trailer in the tulsa craigs list for 1200.00 e-mail me and ill get you the info.

car hauler guy here with a wooden deck bought it for 600 bucks put new tires on it and have been pulling my bx23 around for 19 months on it and now im using it as my work platform for the lawn business and the b3030. my next purchase is a 1 ton with a dump bed after that i might consider a new trailer. did the research i guess i need to have the backhoe chained to the deck but thats the only thing ill do different. i haul something 5 days a week and have not had a bit of trouble with the law or the trailer.

happy towing and remember to maintain a 3-4 car length distance between you and the moron in front of you on the cell phone, eating a triple cheese burger, sack of fries and drinking a diet coke, driving 45 in the fast lane in his multi colored primed out 1996 honda with coffie can exhaust pipe draggin the ground due to he had it lowered with the insurence money from all the wrecks he caused slamming on his brakes cause he was about to miss his exit.

I love the new pix Dan. :) Must be good to be so rich you can afford a Yuppie Kubota... :D ...but don't forget that his CK30 is at least a thousand pounds heavier than your new B3030. Maybe more like 1,500 pounds difference in full "TLB" dress.

Yep! Gotta chain it down even though it doesn't make much sense for a compact utility tractor. Doesn't matter... it's the law.
