
I don't see anything wrong with expediant solutions to problems. I don't think I would put chain in glass jars however. I carry stuff like that around in my bucket, can't get more expediant than that
Yup, any kind of storage (except the glass bottle) is acceptable.
I made a specific chain box out of an old ammo box which was given to me by my good friend Larry G. Attached it to the fel tower for easy access. It opens from both top and bottom, so when the chains are inside, I flip the bottom open and the chains drop out. My wife's tractor has the same set-up.
I wish I could find a couple of those.. they rock! Good idea.
About a year ago I looked all over on my tractor for a place to mount a chain holder. The steps, tool box and loader made it tough to find a big enough spot. I finally found a space near the rear hitch. It's hard to tell in the picture but it is about 3" away from the tire. I made a steel bracket and mounted an old ammo can on it. The ammo can does an excellent job of keeping the chains clean.

they don't know that utz pretzels come in a plastic jar I'm sure.
Any one else ever had soft pretzels???????
