location of L275 temp sender

Temp guage not working. Got the Temp sensor, and could not find where it goes. The manual does not say. Could someone tell me, in simple directions, where to find this sensor?

usually on right rear corner of head.

also, check right side rear on the engin block, look for the wire coming from it.

You know how people say to go with your first impression? I may be all wet but something tells me the temp sender on these older kubotas is a capillary tube to the gauge. If this is right, the "wire" isn't a wire but a jacketed flexible tube - looks like miniature romex. It's a complete one-piece assembly with the gauge. Probably expensive now - and maybe has been superceded by an electronic one?
