Location of voltage regulator on MT160D?

Can someone please point me to where the voltage regulator lives?
Alternator is putting out plenty, but it’s low reaching the battery.
Helping out a neighbor, thank you much!

I don't have the manual but the "Regurator", as they call it, is most likely on the firewall or behind the dash.

Yeah, I found a wiring diagram today, not really a schematic, but more resembling the art work in the “Idiots guide to V.W.’s.” and it’s labeled “regurator”.
I only spent a few minutes looking but still don’t see it. It’s probably right there…
