locking fuel caps for tractors?

Two tractor trailers had about 190 gallons of diesel pumped out of their tanks in St. Johnsbury. VT over the weekend...about $900 theft...

Not specific to a tractor, but on the same notion....

I was talking to a guy I know well here in CT. His mom lives in New Hampshire and has and 500 gallon underground oil tank. Someone pumped out all of her heating fuel. The fuel company filled her tank up and someone drained it again.

Now, this guy would not make up stories but I'm wondering...did'nt anyone notice a tanker pulling up to pump the tank? I mean, really, it would have been a cumbersome job to do with five gallon containers or even drums?

The woman is older, lives alone and must sleep like a rock.

I looked in vain for one when I first bought my tractor - checked with the usual suppliers (Stant and a couple of others I found via web searches). No one had one, or seemed interested in offering to make/find one. Seems kinda odd to me. I would think they would be very popular/useful for construction equipment left unattended overnight where vandals prowl.
