LockNLube Easy-Prime Lever Grease Gun?

   / LockNLube Easy-Prime Lever Grease Gun? #11
I have 4 grease guns, two lever, a pistol grip and a mini. One of the lever guns holds corn head (0) grease for filling/adding to gear boxes. The other lever and mini came out of mom & dad's garage when we cleaned the estate, the lever has not been used and I have used the mini a time or two but the cost of cartridges is to high for what it is.

The one I use all the time is an old pistol grip Craftsman that is well near 50 years old, my wife bought it for me not long after we got married. Grease guns are simple tools that with minimal care will not wear out, well other than the hose or coupler. I have a hose on mine, I made a 30" hose from the smallest diameter 2 ply hydraulic hose we had in the shop at least 30 years ago and other than the outer covering coming off the braid it is still going strong. I have little doubt the grease gun and hose will out last me.

I would not pay the high price of the Lock & Lube gun though if I needed one. A good Lincoln or Alemite will last the average user a lifetime.

I've had my Alemite for over 50 years with no problems. Tried a pneumatic one and threw it away after a couple of years. I used a Lincoln cordless for a couple of years and it's been sitting on the shelf unused after constantly getting airlocked.

Nice thing about the Lincoln or Alemite couplers is, the bottom half of the coupler is adjustable for grip. The cheap ones cannot adjust.

If anyone wants the Lock-N-Lube coupler or the McNaught coupler I have, I'll send them to you, you just pay the postage (USPS Flat Rate Priority box) as neither one of them work in my application.

I'll take the lock'n'lube. The other might work too.
