JJ, have you got any further information on how that Prince valve works? For the life of me, I can't see how a valve can make a cylinder see more flow than is available from the tractor.

Thanks for all the info, even tho I really did'nt ask a question I have a better understanding what I am looking for in a splitter, or what may or may not work for my tractor thats what I was really looking for thanks again.

I always forget about mentioning the re-genvalve:confused2:

But keep in mind that it only works when going forward. Yes it will make it faster though. It will extend as if the cylinder diameter were only as big as the diameter of the rod.

So if you have a 4" cylinder and a 2" rod, in re-gen mode it will extend only as fast as a 2" cylinder.

Actually, comparatively little force is needed for slitting logs. You should be able to get by with a small cylinder. Maintaining the integrity of the slitter blade is likely to be a problem tho. :wink:
