Just finished a hitch to connect my 2" ball log splitter and cyclone rake to my 1860. Guess ill have to make a top pin, I didnt know they are a standard length, I made my top link too wide. Used tractor supply paint.
I like the simplicity of the design, though I wonder with the pin off to the side on the top if you will get a bunch of play and wear in that area. I've been looking to make a similar setup and I think so far I like this one the best. Looks cool

Don't think you will have to worry about wearing out the top link hole as your pulling point is almost inline with your lower links and that little tractor couldn't possibly put a strain on your hitch.
Yeah thats what I think too. The top link just keeps it from tilting. I may occasionally tow a loaded trailer (maybe 1000lb on a bad day). The intended use is dragging my 550lb log splitter around the yard and towing my cyclone rake. If I can do it, so can the hitch!
