Looking at Kubota L3130 HST with 723 Quick attach loader bucket. I will have a three point log splitter that will be hooked into the tractor hydraulic system. Could I use longer hoses and hook it into the hoses that run the FEL when it is removed? Or will I have to have dedicated connections at the rear of the tractor for the splitter?

dave it all depends, you MAY need dedicated or you MAAY be able to run using the FEL circuit:

I'm not familiar with kubs hyd system, may have an open center or a closed center, depending. that is what needs to be known to KNOW if you can run a spltter and then the splitter has to have the valve setup to go with that type of a hyd system ...

What you may want to do is to tap into the power beyond, running two hydro lines back to the rear of the tractor just as you could do if you wanted to hook up a backhoe using the tractor hydraulics. I believe you have an open center, so you would just hook up two long lines, one to deliever and one to return the fluid. This is how my backhoe operates off the tractor hydraulics. However, there needs to be some type of diverter switch to divert the fluid to the new hoses, and you probably have one at the block where the FEL hoses come out of the tractor. John

If money isn't a problem, I'd order extra remote. Yes you can run longer hoses, or QD loader hoses and hoses from log split, so they meet and you don't have a lot of extra slack in the way.
Another way is get a selrctor valve (on e-bay now, cheao) from Prince, and plumb it with QD to loader's pressure side at remote end and tee QD to into end of loader valve return line. I actually have 6' long hoses plumbed off remotes with QD s so I don't have to maintain hoses for every hyd implement. Depends if your tractor has a place to hang them when not used.

I also have a 3130. Yes you can loop your hyd from the FEL to the splitter. It is an open center system. Problem is the mess of hoses you would need. It is better to access the power beyond block located under the the seat. I made the adapter block to hook the fittings to and it's a very clean looking installation. only requires 3 short hoses ( feed, return, loop.) But you must loop the hoses when your not using the attachment(splitter) it will blow the pump if not looped there is no main relief on the system. If you want more info you can call me 440-946-9419 Scott in Ohio
