Log Splitters ....

A 6' dia block !!! could this be a mistype ? I have only seen a few 6' diameter trees in my life. Redwoods mostly.

A joystick runs 2 spools with one lever. He ties the stick over to one side to get the oil to flow for the splitter. You have to disconnect the hoses for the bucket and hook the valve from the splitter to them to get oil.

Not a misprint. We still have some big ones left. Most of the wood I split is under 3' though. Some of those big burly maples can be a challenge though.

Ya know, woodturners would pay you good money for that burly maple...and you wouldn't have to split it then! It's a shame to burn that stuff when it makes such beautiful art.

Would like to be turned on to people who use it. Don't find much of the good stuff anymore. Mostly fir, hemlock and alder around here.
