lombardini diesel engines?

I looking at a carlton brand stump grinder with the lombardini 2 cyclinder air cooled engine(29 hp) Has anyone had any experince with this brand engine. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Paco

The DOT in my state uses them on the arrow board signs that you see on the highways and interstates. The mechanic at one of the IDOT garages swears by them and says they last and are trouble free.
I have no experience with them, just relaying what I had heard.

They are used on BCS tractors. The dealer says there're very good-but that's what he says. They are made in Italy. There seem to be enough of them around and the company has been around for awhile selling them so you can probably get parts.
