Backhoe Long Backhoe 1199A Manuals

Hello,

I have a Long backhoe, and I'm looking for any manuals for it. I've searched the internet and can't find anything. Does anyone know where I can find some or have any suggestions where to look?

Don't take my word for it, continue to ask around, but I believe Long is a long defunct company (pun intended). Although an industry leader in the early backhoe att days. When repairing cylinders, etc on these units I have taken to just matching up the components at hyd repair shops. If that is what you are doing. As far as operational type info I can be of no help. Good luck

Well poooey. Hope a manual shows up. I will be glad to pay printing cost, etc. Because - I just found a Long 1199A at Tri Counties Diesel at The Grove (really nice injector pump service folks) for $1K yesterday. Everything works - needs lots of new pins and sleeves and O rings in some cylinders replaced. It runs off the hydraulic remote on my IH806. First experience with a backhoe - the education begins. Steve near Waco.

PS - if you remember my tribulations with low oil pressure on the IH1086 - I drained 6 gallons of oil last Friday from a 4 1/2 gallon crankcase - and the 20 hour old oil was really thin - hope a rebuild on the pump solves the problem - tractor runs OK otherwise - sb

I need a diagram/blueprint of the part that stabilizes the 3 point backhoe to the toplink. and a hyd resivour/pump assembly.

Buchcat, did you find a source for parts to repack origional cylinders? Seals, o-rings etc as kits or individual pieces?
