Long Term NH Parts Availability?

Case still has the IH on their tractors. Also, CNH still owns the McCormick name to an extent. All they sold was the rights to use the name. The McCormick brand of tractors that are now on sale are owned by Argo who also makes Landini tractors, LAVERDA combines and a few other brands. For Argo to have any McCormick brand toys or promotional materials made they have to get permission from CNH as CNH still has the rights and interest in the name.

It scares me to have to order parts for my TN 65 now and it's a current model! If it needs more than a filter I have to wait a month or more for them to get the part out of Italy. The only reassurance I get from the dealer is " Be glad you don't own a Kubota, those parts take forever"! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Something is fishy with your dealer, we do not take a month to get parts for TN tractors we can get them overnight if we have too. On rare occasions there have been times when something has been backordered but that is rarely.

What parts are they ordering? I can get parts for my TN usually within a week.

It's been tied up over a PTO shaft, that was at least a month. The oil pressure switch, which didn't tie it up but I still feel is a necessity, was at least a month. Both were back ordered out of Italy. Both of these parts were probably over a month but I don't feel like digging out the paperwork so I don't want to get to lying. On top of that, they were installing a new clutch when they did the PTO shaft. The shaft took so long to arrive they removed the clutch to install on another tractor so it was tied up another week or two waiting for a clutch after they installed the shaft. Overnight? How much extra is that?
