long wait for 5x25 tractors

I ordered a 5525 today. My dealer told me that because of the region's request for tractors to be used in the Katrina cleanup, all orders for south Louisiana, south Mississippi, and south Alabama have been expedited. He tells me I should expect my 5525 in about 3 weeks. I trust the guy but I haven't been able to corroborate this story anywhere else. As they say, "we'll see".

The Power Trac can be bought with an extra wide set of wheels for stability on the hill sides. It really looks like you have some steep stuff. What do your neighbors use? Do you have tractor experience? Tractors can be tipped over on steep slopes quite easily. )</font>

Good points. I will be thinning trees, but not eliminating them, on the steeper terrain, removing them on the less steep terrain to gain open land for future uses.

I'll look into Power Trac's, I've located their web site.

I have some tractor experience (drove one on a ranch out west for a few months), and am by nature pretty cautious when using equipment.
