Look what I got...Tire Changer

I found a old 20-20 coats, changer, nice machine, it has changed a truck load of tires, and then some,

I have a nice Bishman bubble balancer,

but of late I have been using balancing beads, (AKA air soft BB's) I out about 4 to 6 oz in each tire, (if the tire is round, (no belt slippage or problems), they are very good the one tone truck has never ran that smooth, (under 30 mph some times they have not distributed completely, but the norm is great, on a smooth road it is a smooth ride,

Before making a coffee table out of a tire changer, re-read the 11th commandment, "THOU SHALL NOT destroy and or take a usable tool and or equipment out of service to man kind that is in good and or usable working condition".

I now keep a manual tire changer on hand ready to use, couple years ago got a flat on my front 16" tractor tire, took it to the busy tractor place, 3 days later and $75.00, got it fixed, now in one hour, $.05 patch, I can fix it, no lines no waiting, but a air compressor is also needed.

I have a 10-10. Works well. I've done my own tires forever. Bought a HF bubble balancer a while back, also an excellent tool, Keep in mind something that tire jockeys never do...*because they want to sell you a balance as well)...

When putting a new tire on a rim (besides cleaning the bead area and lubing, always align the dot on the new carcass with the valve stem. Tire makers all spin new tires and mark the lightest spot wit a dot in the sidewall. I rarely add weight anymore.

Line up the dot? are you serious, I never heard of that.
