Take your time. There are a lot of used tractors out there. Some better than others. Be patient........The big day will come....

I just hoped he had another unit that could have been swapped out. As for fluids; anytime I buy anything used, I will always change all fluids and filters so I KNOW when they were changed . If I purchase from a dealer; I try to get them to throw it in to complete the deal.

Does look like a nice unit, but pictures can not tell the whole story; I assume you test drove it, started up fine, everything works, etc.

No, I haven't had the opportunity to start it yet. The owner is stuck in several inches of snow in Kansas right now. I hope to get a chance to try it out next weekend. He does have another TC33 but it has 5X the hours & the ag tires are slap worn out.

That rim in the close-up looks bent. Maybe it's just the way the picture shows it, but the top looks like the tire bead area is bent out. I'd wonder what caused it.

It is bent. There is a little metal bumper built on the front of the tractor, I don't know maybe 12" wide, that is also slightly bent. There is no other signs of damage.

I noticed that this tractor has a forward facing PTO shaft underneath the tractor. Maybe for a belly mower? Is that a standard item?

Midmount pto is normally on the deluxe models; used for mid mount mower or front snowblower or power broom. The wheel is bent pretty good. When you test drive it; see if you "feel" it running out of round. Make sure you run it in 4 wd also. I would inspect the axle area and all components around the bent wheel for damage.

I'm a little concerned about the wheel too. Mainly, when I drive it this weekend, will I be feeling the bent wheel, or something more serious like a bent axle, and think it's just the wheel. Might have to see about swapping it out...

About price? Is he out of line asking 8900? It's a little more than I'd want to pay, I still need to buy a FEL after all. Assuming that the wheel doesn't shake or hop or anything, and everything else checks out mechanically, what would be a reasonable offer?

I also live in Central NC near Apex and bought my TC33DA supersteer from Corriher in Newton, NC. He beat Senter tractor in Raleigh by thousands in "best price" quoted. Only when Senter found out I was not buying from them did they try to "give me a tractor" as they put it and match the price from Corriher. I like dealing with Ted and I would talk with them if you want a good tractor at a fair price.

So having bought a new one, does $8900 seem high/low/indifferent??

BTW, I'll give Corriher a call, thanks for the tip!

The wheel being bent is not a big deal; I bent mine once with a full bucket and tried to get across a curb, it bent; not as bad as yours but bad enough for me to remove the tire and hammer it out; hammered out easily. Pricing will depend on year of tractor; document the year. I tis an earrly boomer; 1999, 2000, 2001. Not sure when new headlight style came out. I just did a quick look for where the serial # are on my TC 29 and could not locate it.
The manual says it is located on the left side of the transmission housing. Miine has either fallen off or something as I could not find it.
After getting the serial #, go , not call, if possible your local CNH dealer, give him the #, he will give you the year, ask him the low and high for a TC-33 with the # hours on it. He would be hoping to make a parts customer out of you, so he may be honest. He may have similar units for sale also; look around , before talking.

I don't really know if your quoted price is good or not. I bought mine new and I just don't have a good feel for the used market. I do know Corriher Implement sells tractors all over the country because their prices are so good. I think they charged me $100 to deliver from Newton which is about 3 hours drive each way. There are actually two Corriher dealers up there. One is Corriher Tractor (John Deere and Kubota) and Corriher Implement (New Holland). They are brothers and I have bought a tractor from both. I bought a Kubota B7800 from Corriher Tractor to use at my home in Boone. The number for Ted Corriher (New Holland) is 828 464-0161. After buying my tractor I decided I needed a tooth bar and a fiberglass sun shade. I compared prices at Senter and Corriher and again drove all the way to Newton because their price was MUCH better on both.

Here is the website for Corriher:
