Well... doesn't this suck? I just read the thread from Wallace. Based on what I've read here, it's a big loss. Then I checked this thread and found yet another recommendation for me to contact him about a tractor. Too bad all around...

John----You might want to give Hoover tractor in Mifflinburg, Pa a call. They have a big dealership with a modern shop, they seem to be honest, hard working folks. There are people from this area who have bought from them and they have been satisfied with their service.

Thanks for the reply. Got a Bobcat dealer that is less than 5 miles away who quoted a nice price for a brand-spanking-new 2010 CT235. It's not a done deal yet by any means. The fact that Bobcat has a shorter warranty isn't exactly something to be thrilled about.

Well, you could always get a Kioti, pay more and have a longer warranty.

Or, get a price on an extended warranty on the Bobcat which is brand-new, wrapped in plastic, and hasn't been sitting out in the weather for 2 years...

According to lots of posts I read on here, they apparently do. It's on the list of questions to ask the dealer.

Just to address some of the comments here. The KIOTI free loader offer is in lieu of other discounts/rebates. So if a 1200 rebate was calculated in the price of the tractor without a loader (likely) the cost to add the loader to that tractor would be 1200, even though the loader is free, because the base cost of the tractor would have to go up by the lost rebate. Now, I'm not sure this is a clear as I hoped it would be.

Here's the deal. Dealer gave a price for the tractor as it sits (there is a loader on it), with no mention of any promotions.

In a subsequent conversation (after finding out about the incentives available), asked about the free loader promotion. Dealer gave new price of $1200 less for that same unit as it sits.

There was no discussion about a rebate. There was no discussion of financing because that's really not a consideration.
