Looking at a LS

Wasn't sure where to post this and didn't want to start a new thread, searched alot too but since you are talking about the xg3025 I thought I'd share this. Went to my local la dealer a few weeks ago to check out an mt125 and xj2025h. Didn't have either lol. Had an mt122 and a used xj2025. He tried to steer me towards the xg3025, said it was his favorite tractor. It interested me but might be a bit big. Got a couple prices and came home. Did some more research and called him yesterday. He gave me a price of 21388 for the xg3025 tab a couple weeks ago. Did not specify to me for sure if that was for the shuttle or hydro but worst case it would be 22388. Yesterday I got a price on the xj 2025h tlb and mmm for 24244. Now the mmm is 3k so take that off and you're at 21244. Hmm. Sounds like the 3025 is a pretty good deal. Thoughts?

That's a fair, good price for the 3025. I had an MT125TLB and it was a fantastic machine! The XG3025TLB is really that much better! I have had two dealers 1,000 miles apart tell me the 3025 was also their favorite machines. Even though it is much larger, it's still very maneuverable. It has the highest hydraulic flow (12 gal) of all the tractors in it's class. Lots of power!

Lsmt125owner, question for ya. Is your xg hydro or gear/ shuttle?

I got the shuttle shift. The dealer only had hydrostat ones and got the shuttle for me from another nearby dealer. I specifically wanted the shuttle.... It has greater PTO power.

I really like my shutter shift. Nothing wrong with HST. I grew up on a clutch and the shutter better fits with the way I drive.

Pros and cons to both. Everyone has there preference. Just not sure what mine is yet lol.

Last Saturday went to my ls dealer again and got some seat time on the xg3025 shuttle. I'm used to hydro but nothing wrong with that shuttle. Wouldn't take long at all to get used to. At 21,388 I think that is a bargain. Price for tractor/loader is 16,888 which makes the bg 4500. That seems really reasonable to me. Now I got to get the wife on board, any suggestions? Lol.

I got my wife on board after our first winter at our new home. Moving from the 'Valley' where we would get maybe a few inches of snow a season, to the mountains in the "snow belt" where we get a few feet a season. Our driveway is no longer a short concrete pad, but a rather long steep dirt road.
Our first winter, we shoveled by hand. We didnt have anything else. Took about 6 hours to make a lane just big enough not to get stuck, and we did. Ended up parking near the county road and walking most of the year. sucked.
Next winter, we got a snowblower. Better but still really sucked. Took about 3 hours, but was more doable.
That spring, we got an ATV with a plow, much better! Takes about 1.5hrs,

All the while, I kept talking about getting a tractor. How useful it will be to move snow, rototill a garden, smooth out the road, level areas, etc.
We went though another winter, with the ATV. My wife on it the majority of the time. (she claimed she liked it :confused3: it was fun until she slid off the road or broke the winch cable. Then it was my problem.)
That April we got our tractor.

Snow and manual labor will make people want to purchase something to mitigate the pain.

Thanks Avenger, but my wife doesn't help me outside with anything but I have her on board now.
