I've owned a 2013 41hp for 5.5 yrs. And am very happy with it. No problems with mine.

I've been very happy with both of mine (25hp SCUT and now 25hp CUT). Had no problems and they are a lot of tractor for the money. As Diggin It asked, what model / year are you looking at and price? Lots of folks here can help decide if it's a good deal.

I know this is vague,,the owner was supposed to let me know what model it is,,I know its got LL3110 loader on it,,i dont think the owner is a tractor person, its got less than 100 hrs on it, guess ill find out in the morning

I have a 28hp Montana made by LS. Great tractor. More capable than most other tractors in the same hp range. Heavier and greater lift on FEL and 3 point hitch. Other than 2 broken hoses, I have had no issues with it in 6 years.

I use it for snow plowing, snow blowing, rototilling, bush hogging, moving dirt and gravel, moving tree trunks for firewood, picking up IBC containers of stacked wood, moving pallets, dragging my zero turn out of the mud whenever I get stuck. One of the best tools I have ever purchased!

Time to update your profile

My PTO is silent when running. I would check it out to see if something is wrong. And post pics of your new toy!

Shoot a video of the PTO off and on to show the difference.
Grab the PTO stub shaft, engine off of course and see if there is any movement in/out or side to side or up/down.

This one is not,,i really dont know what is acceptable,,i hooked up the bushhog I got with it this morning,,jhave not turned it on yet, Im about to go try,,this is spooky,,can u tiurn your pto shfat coming out of the trsctor by hand,,I mean when nothing is connected

From what I have been told. The PTO should spin silently if nothing is hooked up. How your tractor sounds when the PTO is off, is how it should sound when your PTO is on (when nothing is hooked up of course).

Congrats on your new XG3025. At 65 hrs. the owner should have done the 50 hr. service. Check all fluid levels before using. PTO should run quietly. I cannot turn my PTO shaft by hand when off and it runs quiet when engaged.

I cannot turn my pot shaft by hand either. Wish they would make them so you could, it would make hooking up some implements a lot easier.
I would get that checked out if it were mine.

I checked on mine today, I cannot turn the pto shaft by hand, you can actually "feel" the gear mesh. With the tractor running, at about 1700 rpm, The PTO does have a "gear sound" when engaged and running. (Don't know how else to describe it). Doesn't sound bad, but you can definitely tell it is turning. Mine is a gear / shuttle shift, don't know it the HST model would sound different.

I'm curious about what you paid for such a low hour machine, what year? HST or gear?

Went by the dealer this morning and it not supposed to turn,,I can also feel the gear mesh,,just came in from fooling withn it,,at 1700 rpm and above it runs smooth and does not make a noise

the man told me since this machine has set a while it could possibly have some corrosion built up,,i dont know about that,,the hydraulic oil is very clean,,he said tojust run the stew out of it and it could clear up,,if it brakes its still under warranty and they will fix it,,one good thing the warranty goes with the tractor, regardlesss of who owns it

According to the dealer this pto is not made to turn freely,,has an internal overun clutch,,the pto is supposed to quit turning in less than a minute even with bushhog attached,,most pto's turn forever when it is disengaged

What year is the tractor?
Gear driven or Hydro (peddle for forward/back or do you have a clutch with a lever forward/back)?
Can you move the PTO up and down side-to-side (turn off engine, grab the PTO shaft without anything connected to it. Pull straight up, push straight down. Does it move?
Why was the original owner selling it with such low hours?
Was the 50hr service preformed?
