Comparison Looking at buying new tractor, LS vs Kubota

/ Looking at buying new tractor, LS vs Kubota #151
Hi:
I am just coming up on 5 years with my LS7010 tractor.Heard all the BS about them when looking around but bought anyway. It has been a great machine so far,we farm and operate a woodlot 300 acres in size. The tractor has over 1000 hours on it so far and no major problems other than tie rod ends and ball joints on the steering wore out far too early in my estimation. Parts here are terribly expensive, but I see that throughout the US they are much more reasonable,so the dealer here must be hosing us or his distributor is doing it to him! Now,mind you I had a Kubota previously and parts for it were just as bad.
Regardless it's been a great machine no regrets.I had a Kubota 4950DT before and this machine is better on fuel that it was, that's 50 vs 70 hp too!

Saw this post and thought I would add to it. Don't know what price differences are but New Holland might be option. Was on there lot today and workmaster 35 is identical to mine. LS may be cheaper but dealer is twice as far for me, So if price is close on what I need I will drive half the distance and go to NH.

That's why my expat Canadian [Newfie] buddy says "The national sport of Canada isn't hockey: it's smuggling."

New Holland (and Case) typically don't come anywhere near close to the price you can get from LS if you compare machines set up the same. When I was pricing an R4047 versus a Boomer 50, it was almost $10K more for the Boomer. I paid $21,500 for the LS and the closest NH dealer quoted me just over $31K. I may have been able to get them to come down somewhat, but not nearly enough to make it worth talking about.
