Being on some mountain roads I have the last few days can understand that. Been while since have been on such sharp curves. The turning off any road anything real long can be issue in narrow gate or such.
Had a similar dilemma this spring. Wanted to move from a side delivery to a V style. Looked at the major 3 carted rakes in my area. Kuhn, Vermeer and New Holland. All three good high clearance rakes. The Kuhn and Vermeer have their wheels double mounted on arms. The New Holland has its wheels mounted independently. Although I do like the center kicker wheels of the Vermeer better dealer was no good to work with. (I never have liked that salesman.) Ended up buying a New Holland Procart 1022 with center wheel. Raked about 175 acres this year with it. Did real good job raking. In thick hay (2.5+ton/acre) I had trouble getting the hay to go through the throat. Have a 4 foot baler. A 5 foot wide baler would have helped with this.
Learned after purchasing the New Holland that you can get them with a hydraulic kit on the wings to adjust the throat while raking. This would make clearing clogs easier I believe. I may look at adding it to mine before next year.
