Hello Doug,

Welcome to the forum, I would also suggest that you purchase a can or two
of Fluid Film spray and you will be amazed how far the snow it thrown with
both the single stage unit and the two stage snow blower.

The 2 wheel BCS mules are very good machines and if you use Fluid Film on
everything that contacts snow you will have excellent results.

The key with the single stage snow throwers of any size is that you let them
work and work slowly and they will throw the snow and slush a long way with
very little engine loading.

If you have not sent the craftsman to the happy hunting ground yet you can always
become a member of the SBF and then you can advertise it for sale as a parts snow blower.
Many of the members of the SBF forum rebuild old snow blowers and are always looking for
dead snow blower bodies to strip parts from to rebuild old ones or create "frankenblowers".
Me, I visit the Snow Blower Forum often as I have developed Snow Blower Sickness"
myself as I keep hoping my junk snow blower gets stolen.

FWIW, my Case 444 has a "hydraulic" drive. From what I understand, it's like a hydrostatic, but better, because you have full power to the wheels at all times. Or some such thing. Anyways, for most practical purposes, it's a hydrostatic. Maybe better, maybe worse.

If your wheels are bolted to the stub axles you want to keep you 444 as it has a good transmission,
nothing like the low power JD junk as the axle stub with traction only has 2.4 horsepower on it at any time.
I would put my wheelhorses 244 transmission and wheels on this john Deere but I dont think I will be able to.

BUT I can put it on my franken snow blower if I get around to building it hahahaahahhhaha.
