Hello everybody, first post. I found this site while looking at ar15.com asking about this tractor.

Anyway, my wife and I just purchased our first house in the country. We are looking to move in in a couple weeks and our push mower won't work out so well because the house is on four acres of grass. Not too many trees right now but we hope to change that, along with putting in a garden.

Anyway, the current home owners have a B7510 with a quick detach front end loader, a 6' scraper blade on the rear, and a commercial grade 5' mower deck to drag behind it (I can't remember the manufacturer on it, it wasn't Kubota and it was orange?). The tractor is a 2006 model and it has about 300 hrs on it.

The owner said that he'd like to get $12,000 for it. That was more than I really wanted to spend, however, searching around the internet, this doesn't appear to be too hateful. I'm thinking of going over there again with 10K and see if he'll take that... do you think that's kind of a lowball offer or fair?

Here is the lot we got (outlined in yellow)...

It's pretty flat for the most part, it starts sloping downward from a little past the shed back. At the back of the property I'd like to build a backstop for shooting, and the front has some low spots that need filled in, and we'd like to have a garden, so I have some other jobs to do other than just mowing the grass.

A little hard to say, with the economy right now..... but a year ago $12 would have been a fair price. I still think $10 might be a little low with the mower included. I see no harm in giving it a shot if the owner is not going to have a use for it where they are moving to. I think I'd put fair value in the mid to high tens based on what I see right now here in New England. Location has alot to do with prices.

I think 12K is slightly high but not insanely so. Assuming the maintenance has been kept up and tractor is in otherwise good condition offer him the 10K but be prepared to meet somewhere in the middle.

Thanks guys... it's been garage kept so it's pretty clean looking. I'm going to go and look at it again later this week and take it out of the garage a little bit when I go to make them an offer.

The owner said he's kept maintenence up well, and I believe him based on his occupation and the condition of his vehicles and the house. Is there anything I specifically should check?

The 7510 is a great tractor.

If he were to take that tractor to a dealer (in Maine) he would get about 10k if he traded it toward another unit. If you payed 11k you both could say you made a FAIR deal, assuming it has hydrostatic transmission. It is a great tractor and 300hrs is nothing to worry about. Good luck and enjoy!!!

I'd say to offer the ten but be ready to give eleven. You might ask to see the maintenance records for warranty reasons.

I didn't see what part of the country your new home is in. Snow? Looks like you have a pretty good sized drive.

I sure like mine and use it all the time. You'd be surprised how many uses you'll dream up for it.

Usually my location is with my posts on other forums... I'm in mid western Ohio. We usually have a good snowstorm (>12") every year or two... not enough that I think I need a blower to attach to it, but I think a blade will work fine, for now.

12k is about right at retail. You can buy that rig new for just over 17k. As a private sale you usually want to do a bit better than if a dealer has it right?

probably worth more from a individual than from a 3rd tier tractor dealer;):) less paper work!-----and no empty promises----:D

I went and looked at the Kubota again today... along with the bill of sale from purchasing it new and the maintenance records... THEN the owner tells me, "I talked to my wife, we can drop it to 11K if you're interested".

Long story short, it will be mine. [BD]

good deal i was going to advise you to offer 10K and settle on 11K that way you split the difference and you are both happy. You have a tractor you can use and sold a tractor he does not need.

I sold a B7500, 302fel, curtis soft cab with heat & lights, 700 hours, 6 years old. The machine needed a floor (rotted) and front axle seals. I sold (traded ) to a dealer toward a new machine in 2005. The dealer gave me 8 grand, the next day he had it on his lot for 10 grand. 300 hours is nothing, i would show up with 10 grand cash, offer $9500. if he says no, jump up to 10. You should get it for 10, thats a good deal for everyone. I'm to assume the machine is cherry?
