Good for you RD! Still waiting in Oklahoma but I'm just glad to have found it at all.
I think eventually I'll move up to the 44 shotshell because of its much better pattern. I shot/killed a moccasin a few weeks ago and I think only 3 pellets hit from 8 feet away. I may keep an eye out for a nice lightweight 2" 44.
I stick with the 38 shotshells, mostly for my wife. She likes to back pocket carry (or boot carry) a S&W j-frame in a little clip holster when she heads out to the barn.
For a lightweight 44 snubby, Taurus makes the lightest ones I've seen. Their 44 Special and 45 Colt titanium snubbies always interested me.
