it looks like hudson sure likes to push the #s. for example look at the GCWR than the axles and tires on the hudson V kaufman. IMHO I would go with kaufman as the spec's look more realistic.
Yeah, the Hudsons are rated for a higher load capacity, but I think they are figuring on a higher tongue weight as well. I've looked closely at both Hudsons and Kaufmans over the years and they both seem to be high quality, but are also constructed very differently.
The Kaufmans are more conventional with a piece of channel for the tongue then the trailer body made of another piece of channel on top of that. The Hudsons use just one piece to make the tongue and the trailer body. While that wouldn't seem as strong, the channel iron they use is massive compared to other trailers, might be higher tensile as well, IDK.
