looking for a good 72" finishing mower

Run from King Kutter. I bought a 5' in 2003 and by 2007 spent $800 in repairs. Biggest POS I have ever owned. I then bought a Caroni 6' and have spent less than $1 in repairs. Lost one bolt that was metric, maybe $.30 to repair it. I bought a extra just in-case.

I have two farm 72"mowers which I use on both my 2305 and 2320. They work great, built like a tank. I had to run into a tree the bend a wheel bracket.:smiley_aafz: $20 fix at the local weld shop. Not the mowers fault. The only problem is the snap pins that hold the adjustment bushing at each wheel can come undone and you lose that wheel and bushing the next time you lift off the ground. I make for a treasure hunt in the lawn. Easily fixed, just swap the pin with a small bolt. Then you good to go.
These things are so tuff you can almost use them as a rough cut mower.:D
Mower cut quality is good along as you adjust your top link so it floats properly and the blades are kept sharp.:D
Another good point, in the fall I lifted them to clean out the caked on grass.... there was none. It runs clean.:)

I have an older Land Pride 6' side discharge. The only things I've ever repaced are the blades and one drive belt in about 20 years. Mower was my dad's and he passed it down to me.

I've got a 72" KK Rear discharge finish mower, Its got about 4000 acres on it now. Igreased it daily and the only problem is the bushings on the wheels are worn out. Going to rebush it . . . good for 4000 more acres. . . . John
Pictures of my KK. I changed the hitch and added lift chains to each corner. Travels much better. Last picture is one of pieces of my lawn, about 25 acres.

I have a Land Pride 48" that I have used on occasion as a rough cut mower. So far no troubles. Recently took it on a demo run through coastal salt grass behind my 32hp Kubota. No troubles.
