Hmm, well that's a tough one because I like the CS-400 so much. I like it a lot as a small light saw (I think it's one of the best in its class around 40cc). It's a little more petite and lighter than the MS-261, but probably not enough to keep them both unless you really feel/perceive an advantage when handling it.

I tend to use my CS-400 for pruning stuff around the house (well, I did at my old house that had landscaping trees; nothing to prune at the new place) and for construction work sawing lumber -- it can make a real surgical cut that bigger saws are too awkward/sloppy for. For example, I used the CS-400 to notch out the top of pilings on my pier to accept roof beams -- without question it was the only saw in my collection I would have wanted to be 8' up on a ladder with, next to water.
