i still vote for a quality double flaring tool and do it yourself. no custom fittings as you use the same as stock ones.

it would be a lot easier to determine the extent of what i need to replace if i had it up on a lift, but from what i can see from underneath, the majority of the rust is the connections. all the connections in question are quick connects. it's not a matter of a barrel splice and a couple of double flare fittings - it's the area around the disconnects that is bad. i haven't looked too carefully, but i've never seen any of those disconnects that accept a threaded flared fitting. if you know of a place, by all means, give me a link. this is roughly what the disconnects look like:
