Tractor Sizing Looking for a new tractor

Can anyone tell me what brand of engine is in a Farmall 45a, I doubt its case as the brand is not mentioned.

I can only say that I have no visibility problems with my 4520 cab tractor, I don't think I would buy another open station tractor for the work you described. I have been very satisfied with this tractors performance and comfort so far.

I was down at Hammond's a couple months ago and they had a JD4005 with a cab on the lot. I liked that tractor but don't know that it would satisfy your need for visibility.??

Have you considered a 4005.??

have you looked at a ford rowcrop nf or wf from the 55-64 00/01/000 4 cyl models?

9xx or 4000 will get you a 45hp machine. can get diesel or gas. ford rowcrops of that era should be cheap.. like 2500$.. great visibility. get a live pto model like a 960/961 or a 4000 with a 5spd.. or alternately.. a GOOD running unit with an SOS trans and independent pto.

that and your good loader tractor..

I agree with Soundguy, as I just bought a Ford 961 this past summer and have not had a chance to bale any hay with it yet, but it handled my 6' woods brush hog well. Next summer though it will be baling hay in addition to brush hog duties.
