Do you have any pics of the attachment of the cat 1 ends on the cylinder. I'm concerned that I can't make it look "clean"

I am looking into using something similar to this url=http://www.joycedayton.com/electric_cylinders/cylinders_com_drive.php]web page[/url] instead of having to run hyd hoses etc.Just a push button on the dash and top link is moved by a 12 volt linear gear motor. Just a thought, don't know why it would not work.Pls add your thoughts. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif Opps I put it in the url box but /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I've seen ones that lift 400 lbs for $129.99.
I think it's do-able Think I'll look into it further. Could be just another of my hair brained ideas.

( I suspose adding "Pat's Easy Change System" would stretch the desired top link length and would perhaps allow those of us with smaller tractors (CK20) to utilize the standard sizes of hydraulic top links rather than needing to do as you did and fabricate a custom size. )

Ed, I have Pat's Easy Change on one of the tractors and also have a TNT system on that tractor. Play around with your implements with the top link that you have. Measure it at its shortest setting that you use, make sure that Ken Sweet's hydraulic toplink is at least as short as you need. Then measure your toplink when it is set out as far as you would normally set it. Make sure that Ken Sweet's hydraulic top link extends out as far as you need it to go. If the measurements work for your tractor then you should have no problems with his toplink.

You will find that a hydraulic top link is used almost as often as a FEL if you use a rear blade, box blade, landscape rake, etc. I find my 2 row JD 71 Flexi planter works much better with the hydraulic top link too. Once you use one, you'll be amazed at how much more useful your rear implements can be.

BTW if you don't have a piloted check valve on the toplink, or some sort of piloted control valve (I think Henro has those?) then you can run into a situation where your implement will drift. The check valve holds the position of the implement and prevents it from dropping down. If you are pulling an implement for long distances through the soil, the toplink can move if it is not piloted. Same will happen with a rear mower or cutter over time and your cutting height will change.
