Well, I don't own a Kioti. I own a New Holland. But from what I see and have heard the Kioti is a good tractor. There is not a dealer around here to put my hands on one but from what I read here and see in the magazines/web it looks pretty good. In fact, if it does have to prove itself maybe that is just what Kioti is doing, proving itself and building a better tractor than the others.

Not trying to start a brand war here but I just don't think you can throw Kioti out here.

If it were my mother, I'd take her to a couple of dealers and let her try out machines for comfortability and ergonomics. Now if it were my mother in law.....(you fill in the blank). /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You might want to check ease of mower removal, If using the blade or fel for snow removal , ground clearance might be a problem.....JohnJ

Her and Bob Skurka's wife would get along well. They must wear the same kind of outfits! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I like the Cub Cadets a whole lot. If I was buying new I would give them a hard look.... I don't really know why, I've just always been partial to them. The 7264 is a pretty good sized tractor. Have ya'll looked at the 5000 series? Three models available... 2 gas and 1 diesel. They would be great machines for mowing and cheaper than the 7000 series.

Call me conservative, but for my mother, I'd have to go with a sure bet and it would be one of the big three. I may eventually broaden my horizons in the future, but other companies are going to have to "prove" their reliability, durability, dealer service, and longevity in the market place before they get my dollar; especially if the tractor were to be for my mother. Several of the "bargain brands" have come and gone in my market area. I would not want to be stuck owning one of those.
