My impression is that the Massey 235 is not a very well renowned tractor. Of those two, the Deere seems like a better choice.

The 235s are fine if they have manual steering. If they have power steering, they can be a pain (leaks), but the rest of the machine is okay. The bigger problem was when people tried to put loaders on 235s with power steering....that was a bad combination.

I agree - the OP would do well with the Massey 235 and perkins diesel or the JD. This would leave enough $ to get implements too.

Since the OP has a Deere 110 TLB the Massey would be a good compliment for 3PTH work.
