I payed 7k out the door for my Yanmar 2000 with a new trailer, brush hog, box blade and used tiller, it may have been a little high but it also came with a 90day warranty. I've had it for about 2 months and love it. It does everything I need it for and I'm sure much more. I understand its a Grey, but I couldnt justify the extra money for a name brand when I have heard so much good about these little guys. I guess it depends on what you need it for.

What are you using it for? Can't you buy a blade and tiller for the bx23 you already have? How large is your garden?

Sounds like you got a lot for $7000.
But I don't need a trailer, brush hog, box blade.

Nothing wrong with a Yanmar .
In fact the first compact tractor I ever wanted was a Yanmar
with the shuttle shift.
Would have bought it to but went across the road and tried out a Kubota with HST when I left the Yanmar dealer.
It was love the Kubota at first when I tried it out.
The kubota was the largest B series with FEL BH and RMM priced at 21500 . Shopped around at all the other Kubota dealers within 60 miles of here. Kept jewing each one down as I went .Finally got to the last dealer on my list and got a price of 12500. Went back to the first dealer the local Kubota dealer across the road from the Yanmar dealer and showed him the other dealers 12500 price.
The local dealer said I can let you have it for that .
I said write up the order.
I thought sure I had the tractor but the financing fell through.
This All Happened 20 Years Ago.

I was so disgusted about that I never tried to buy another tractor until last year when I got my BX23.

I have 2 Bolens tractors.
One with a front blade on it and the other one has a rear tiller on it.
This arrangement allows me to do tiller and front blade work without switching any attachments.
Buying a front blade and tiller for the BX 23 would put me into the musical implements game which I'm able to avoid with the 2 Bolens tractors.
I'd rather stick with the Bolens Tractors and not have to switch
attachments than get a tiller and front blade for the BX 23 and then have to keep switching attachment all of the time.
The Bolens tractors are used for getting into smaller tighter areas than the BX23 can get into.
I don't have a garden.
I use the tiller to back into dirt piles to get fine dirt for landscaping and lawn leveling

How about a Power Trac PT180

Machine $5500
42" tiller $850
Blade $360

Total $6710.

I bet this setup would run circles around the bx1500 for your intended purpose. It would be more manuevarable into tighter places. Attachments quick change in 15-30 seconds. Also beats the price. For 9k you could add several other useful attachments.

I thought this might be the way to go
Till I discovered I would have to move up to the next PT to get the Boom mower attachment.
Bumping up to that PT jumps the cost by another 2000 dollars for a total of $8710 which is only 290 bucks less than the kubota set up.
I would like to get below the $6710 so am still open to other ideas on how to accomplish that.
It don't have to be a Kubota or even a Sub-cut.

How about a bcs 852. with dozer blade and 26" tiller. Costs around 4k but would be one heck of a tiller. Smaller and more manuvarbale than any you are currently looking at. It's a two wheeler, but a very nice one at that. You would be able to take this machine places that you would never get a sit on tractor near.
