To be honest, I can't remember for certain how my side links attach at the top, and the tractor is about 60 miles from me. Maybe someone else here who has a 790 can look at theirs and tell us?? I do know that the adjustable sidelink needs to be about 19inches long for the attachment to sit level before doing any adjusting.
If the one you have will fit my 790, I may be interested in buying it from you if you decide to let it go.
The adjustable side link that dirt ditch has on the right side of his 3pt hitch is what I want. I'm thinking now maybe I could just weld some 3" long pieces of 3/8" round steel stock opposite of each other on the center link to adjust it with?
Kebo.....are you certain that you do not already have an adjustable link on the right side of your 3 point?I think this is pretty much a standard feature. You and I have about the same tractor (if my memory serves) and mine has the screw adjustable link on the right. Granted, there are no "wings" to crank on it (I use a big crecent wrench on the flats provided) but I have adjusted my box blade to crown a road with that link on mine. I think you need to have another look.....no?
You could easily add "wings" to the existing adjustment screw which would make a big improvement IMO.....but it does work o.k. as is.
