This is what I have and it's attached to a bracket that's bolted on to the ROPS. It has easy to turn knobs that would make it easy to take it off and put it back on again. I've never taken mine off, but feel it would be easy if I wanted to. Instead of removing it, I remove the branches that are in the way.
Why not talk to a local upholstery guy. They quite often design and manufacture folding canopies for marine applications. I know the local guy I use could easily do it.
I agree with several others, trim the tree branches. That way you won't need to stop and mess with the canopy and rops. Less time and aggravation in the long run.
