I had I guy working on my 2019 TYM T554 HST cab tractor. He took it apart and left with some parts and never returned. I got it back together and running and was able to buy the missing parts except for the nut that holds the ignition switch in place. In order to buy that I have to buy the whole switch witch is over $100. The switch is good just need the nut. I wondering if anyone out there had to change a switch and maybe could sell me the old nut. If you can e mail me at mariojm2101@gmail.com Thanks

You might consider checking at a locksmith. They often have lots of old parts.

The locksmith is a good idea, might measure it with a calipers and thread gauge just in case there are differences out there.
In the mean time, maybe find a pvc pipe close in ID to the outside and hog it out so it can will take threads. Not perfect, but it should keep it from falling through the dash until a suitable replacement is found.

Yup, even a couple of plastic tie straps tightly secured around the protruding section would be a good temporary fix until you can find the proper nut to put on there, or a stainless steel gear clamp.

Post the thread diameter. I might have a nut.

Wonder if a EMT conduit fitting nut would work?

Though I'm pretty sure if you make the rounds at the farm store/hardware store, tractor supply, etc, you could come up with a thin nut that would fit.

Another option might be the light fixture parts section of hardware store, varioustypes of fixtures use different sizes of thin nuts to hold fixtures up on ceiling.

Thanks for the replys. I dont know what the size is and I am unsure how to measure it or what type of thread it is. It seems to be very fine. I have a clamp holding it in now but I hate the way it looks.
Thanks
