Well the valve and joystick are installed. I am now waiting on a 320R loader to show up. I would love to have a grapple. I noticed that the spool valve they installed has 3. 2 valves are used for the loader. Can the third be used for a grapple? Is there a kit JD makes or anyone that could be installed to add that third function to control a grapple? valve top.jpg

Yes I would think that diverter kit would work. It would just divert the flow from your curl function on the loader and allow the grapple to move when you move the handle.

Great Job on the install! That looks great!

Is there a kit that I could use that would keep my curl function and also allow me to use the clamp?

Yes. You can use the third spool on the valve you have if you want. Just have to figure out a handle as I believe those kits are no longer available.

You can also buy a true 3 function kit from several places on line or source a valve and buy the hoses and fittings separately. These would use the power beyond from your loader valve if it has the Power Beyond plug. Not positive on that though.

Even with a true 3rd function you most likely still will only be able to work one function at a time. A diverter like you posted works fine for most people. It only diverts the flow while you have the switch engaged. Release the switch and you can curl.

Ok thanks!! I may just go with that kit. They had said (JD) that the loader would take 6 weeks to get. Is that normal?

Doesn't sound unreasonable. But I have no idea on what wait times should be for a loader. My hope is they treat you right on the deal.

I used the existing 3rd spool valve on one of my 4300s, but not with the factory lever that goes into one of the slots on the fender.

Instead, I bought a few of the parts from JD, then a standard remote cable, then made a lever that mounted on my ROPS mast. It was
for a hyd toplink, but could be used for an FEL accessory like grapple or 4n1.

If you want to see how I did it, start at post #250 here:

OK guys I found this kit and they say it is available. Would this work? LVB25084

I sure would think so. It will route to the back of the tractor requiring longer hose to run to the grapple but would work. My brother used his rear remotes for his grapple. He doesn't seem to mind.
