Snowblower Looking for opinions on Loftness snowblowers

My driveway is just over 200' long with another 50' x 75' parking area. I make 3 passes at it with a 3pt 64" blower and it is really no big deal looking backwards and I am of semi-retirement age. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

A lot of people here on TBN discourage the use of the 3pt blower but I will wager the majority of them have never used one. For the price difference I will stay with the 3pt and keep looking backwards.

Jim,

I had a FEL and rear snowblower set up for 2 seasons on the BX. I can tell you now that I have a front snowblower it is the best set up for me. I did not miss the FEL at all this winter. The snowblower moves the snow 40-50 feet away from the edge of the driveway so build up of snow is not a problem.

The FEL and rear blower set up is very long, over 13 feet. Close work near cars was a rear pain with either the FEL sticking out or snowblower depending on what I was using. With the front snowblower everything is in front of you very easy to control and see what is going on. I was not concerned about close quarters at all. I wish I saved my $$ and got the front blower first. Luckily I was able to sell the rear blower for what I paid for it so it was not an expensive lesson. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
