I prefer this style: 4 Complete Shade 48 in. | Agri Supply 78229 versus the one that looks like an umbrella.
The one I linked can (I think) be rotated forwards or backwards to suit the angle of the sun in order to keep you more in the shade.
I've got thousands of hours and thousands of acres of plowing, planting, discing, etc. on old tractors using that type of sun shade. And we carried a water bag on the tractor for drinking water, which got pretty warm about during the afternoon in the summer heat.
These days I have a cab and a/c, but thinking of the old days makes me appreciate the air conditioned cab that much more.
